    David Ben Gurion

  • “This is the most sophisticated and effective method I have seen for the prevention and reversal of deterioration of function. We’re condemning millions of people to a deteriorated old age that’s not necessary.”
    Margaret Mead, PhD.
    Anthropologist
  • "Feldenkrais work is innovative, gentle and often strikingly effective at rehabilitating victims of trauma, cerebral palsy, stroke, and other serious disabilities. I recommend the Feldenkrais Method to patients whose movement has been restricted by injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, fibromyalgia, chronic pain. I also believe that the Feldenkrais Method can help all of us feel more comfortable in our bodies.”
    Andrew Weil, M.D.
Author of 8 Weeks to Optimum Health and Spontaneous Healing

    Science Digest
  • ”A bodywork technique we have seen to benefit patients is known as The Feldenkrais Method. In a series of lessons, patients are taught how to integrate their body movements so that they function with less effort and pain.”
    R. Paul St. Amand
Author of What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia : The Revolutionary Treatment That Can Reverse The Disease
  • “A breathtaking work of genius, the Feldenkrais Methods—one (“Functional Integration”), hands-on with an individual teacher; the other (“Awareness Through Movement”), group movements directed by a teacher—teach a person how to liberate oneself from the narrow range of stereotypical movement patterns that we learn in our culture, and to rind a wider range of moving, and being. These works have had an enormous impact on the medical practice of physical therapy, since restricted movement patterns are associated with trauma, and freeing them produces significant relief of pain.”
    Don Hanlon Johnson
Author of Bone, Breath, & Gesture: Practices of Embodiment

  • Nancy is teaching me ways to control the pain I am experiencing with pinched nerve in my back and a rotator cuff problem. I am totally sold on this method. She is superb. Each time I go for a session …I always come home with more knowledge and tools to control pain and regain flexibility

  • I have been attending Nancy’s classes for almost 3 years after completing a session of physical therapy with her for neck and shoulder pain. She is the absolute best!! At the age of almost 56, I have more flexibility than when I was 25. I’ve spent 30 years at a desk job in front of a computer and we all know how bad that is for your body. Well, Nancy has reversed all that! I can now garden, bike, work at my desk job, all without pain and should I overdo it, I have the knowledge through Nancy to get on the floor and work out most any pain issue I am experiencing!! I find the power of ‘Freedom through Flexibility’ the most amazing and joyful experience of my life!

  • When I first met Nancy, I had little hope of her class working for me. However, having exhausted all other treatments to relieve my pain, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying something different. After the first class, I became a believer in the power of ATM. (That first class was two years ago and I continue with ATM.) Nancy’s knowledge, wisdom, and intuition continue to amaze me. Under her guidance, I progressed from pretty much living in a recliner to being able to walk two miles, stand in a line, sleep in a bed through the night, and return to my job. In other words, I have my life back. Thank you Nancy.

  • These ATM classes are better than anything I have ever done for my back and neck. I am convinced that they keep me flexible and pain-free. I am deeply grateful for them.

  • I just have to say how much I’m getting out of these classes (I’m in the hips & hamstrings class this time). Every time I come out of that room, I move a little freer, with a little less stiffness. It’s amazing what 1 hour a week can do! Thanks, Nancy, for all you do!
